Your questions, answered.
How much does a home renovation cost?
A targeted kitchen or bathroom renovation typically runs $45,000 to $120,000. A full-floor or whole-home renovation usually lands between $250,000 and $700,000 depending on scope, finishes and structural change. Every project gets a detailed, fixed-price quote after the free consultation.
How long does a renovation or extension take?
Targeted single-room renovations are typically 4 to 8 weeks on site. Whole-home renovations and extensions usually run 4 to 9 months from site start, depending on scope. Design, documentation and approvals add 8 to 16 weeks beforehand.
Do I need a DA or can it be Complying Development?
Many internal renovations are Exempt or Complying Development and skip the formal DA process. Larger extensions, first-floor additions and significant structural change usually need a DA. We assess this early, introduce you to our trusted certifiers and handle the lodgement and follow-ups.
Can I live in the home during the renovation?
For most renovations, yes. We zone the site, wrap and protect the rooms you stay in, set up dust screens and clean down at the end of every day. For major structural work we will discuss whether a short-term move out is worth it for comfort.
How do selections and finishes work?
We walk you through selections in a clear sequence so every decision is made before its trade is on site. You have full control over the palette, fittings and finishes, while we keep the schedule moving and the budget protected.
What warranties do you provide?
You receive the statutory 6-year structural workmanship warranty under the NSW Home Building Act, plus manufacturer warranties on every product, fixture and appliance installed. Waterproofing and roofing carry membrane-specific warranties on top.
Working clean. Protecting your home.
Surface protection isn’t a marketing line. It’s the only way to deliver finishes this sharp. Here’s what we have in place from day one, on every job, with no exceptions.
Floor protection
Corflute sheeting, drop cloths and door mats laid over every existing surface before tools come in. No scuffs, no dust trails, no end-of-job floor repairs to argue about.
Door & window wraps
Plastic sheeting on every threshold the trade isn’t actively working through. The unworked side of the home stays untouched, and your routine isn’t held hostage by the build.
Dust screens
Sealed zip-walls between live work zones and the rooms you keep using day to day. Sound stays in. Mess stays in. You stay sane.
Daily clean-down
Brooms, vacuums and skip bins at the end of every day. You wake up to a tidy site every morning, and the handover is genuinely handover-ready, not a punch list of touch-ups.
